TO HELP DISABILITY ADVOCACY GROUPS

 IMPROVE THEIR SKILLS!!

     Organizing for Success                                                 10am12pm

Understand how to get and keep your group organized. Learn how to identify your organization’s strengths. Also learn effective time management tips and how to conduct effective meetings.

      Lunch Available                                                               12pm1pm

Lunch will be made available and is a great time to network with your peers and other advocates. 

      Advocacy with School Districts                                       1pm – 3pm

Receive training on special education laws and advocacy techniques.  Learn collective advocacy strategies and explore ways that parents can join efforts among themselves and with other groups to affect educational policy change at the local, state, and federal levels.
